Memory Three - Sig Neg
Feb. 17th, 2011 01:59 amHead offering him the leadership of Glittering Crux
[SUGATA approaches the park at sunset once more, where HEAD sits finishing his painting of the sunset]
HEAD: There are two things I'd like to ask of you. First, as we discussed earlier. I'd like you to model for my painting. Or rather, you must model for me. I think it must be fate. You are the boy born for the role.
SUGATA: And the second?
H: The position of representative of the Glittering Crux's first section, Emperor, is being held vacant for you. It will be there any time you feel ready.
S: [SRS LOOK, lifts a single hand]
H: You're not really going to use King's Pillar here, are you?
S: Talent is granted by God, isn't it?
H: Bearing the mark of a Warrior means having a powerful libido. I suppose it could also be called ambition. That's why there is no Warrior Driver that can defeat me. Bu then, the mark etched onto your chest isn't a Warrior's, but a King's.
H: [Stands, moves toward Sugata] The Galactic Pretty Boy will fall soon. I don't plan to take his life. Since I prefer to think of him as an ally.
S: [puts down hand, choosing not to vaporize Head]
What He Learned:
So! Sugata actually got a lot more out of his memory than he lets on. SORRY TEAM but Sugata is likely to lie about quite a bit of his memories. Partly because explaining at length is annoying, and partly because he's just not really naturally inclined to be open with people. This isn't especially indicative of how he feels about anyone, though.
Anyway! He knows there are a lot of beneficial reasons for this guy to want him to 'switch sides'. He is aware that he is powerful, and that he has the 'King's mark' which is important, as well as the 'King's Pillar' which he was absolutely certain he could use to fry this guy on the spot.
He's aware that King's Pillar came at a risk to himself, and that his decision to use it freely was inspired by the last thing he remembered: this same guy telling him "Talent is granted by God", words that he throws back at him in this memory. However, he wasn't really concerned about that risk, or the idea of killing this guy, other than that while he was angry at him he didn't hate him and didn't necessarily want to end his life, but was still seriously considering doing so!
He does not know remember the significance of the marks, or 'libido' or Warriors and Emperor, other than that they are significant. He does know that the guy was saying in a roundabout way it is his destiny to lead the Glittering Crux, and may or may not have been acknowledging that even if no Warrior could beat him, Sugata might be able to.
Ultimately, though he was never quite certain he would kill him, he decided not to when the guy brought up not wanting to kill the Galactic Pretty Boy. Sugata is aware that GPB is basically synonymous with friend, and that in part killing this guy would be an act to protect said friend. He did not choose not to kill him so much out of trust that guy would not kill GPB, but more a decision to leave the battle up to GPB, rather than ending it here himself.
Whaaat Sugata gets out of this basically is that he has some kind of power, some kind of destiny, and some kind of battle, and judging from the memory they irritate him at least a little bit. He was not bothered by the idea of being leader (as he kind of was when Misato suggested it). He wasn't even bothered by being invited to switch sides. He was bothered for entirely other reasons he isn't aware of at the moment (Glittering Crux's repeated attacks on his friends, and the 'betrayal' of Head being one of his enemies).
He did not seriously think about joining Glittering Crux but the positive factors of such a decision did occur to him! All in all he can tell he is kind of calculating! But as much as this is a sig memory to Sugata, because it's one of the few times Sugata displays any kind of anger, to Tide it's just sort of a bit odd, and rather interesting. It does inform him that he is in fact maybe NOT a regular highschool boy. So he guesses Souya was right. But it's not a huge surprise either.
PSA - AMETHYST: Please assume that Sugata explained Souya's plan for evenly distributing damage during pain games, because he would have told you all about it even tho I haven't played it out. And also he has a bandage wrapped around his left wrist, but he'll be keeping his jacket on to hide it outside of sleeping. He's not being SUPA SECRETIVE but he sure isn't volunteering info either.

What He Learned:
-Weird Hair Painter Guy is an enemy
--Am very cranky at him but don't dislike him
--He may also be a bit infatuated with me
-There is some kind of organization known as the Glittering Crux
--Which I guess I am the destined leader of because of a mark on my chest
-Warrior's fight with strong libido?
--Implied that the a King > Warrior
-It might be ultimately beneficial (for my goals) to do as he offered and take over the Glittering Crux
--But am srsly pissed at him
-He isn't interested in killing the Galatic Pretty Boy
--This fact possibly is what saved his life
--Because I can use something called the 'King's Pillar'
-Am not particularly bothered by threatening to kill someone
-Or by the fact that the King's Pillar is dangerous to me too
